If you are interested in pursuing an academic

should be aware of the Preparing Future Faculty program and
consider taking
advantage of a spring semester course we’re offering on teaching
in higher
education.
GRAD 8101 is designed to help graduate students
and post-doctoral fellows become responsive and reflective
teachers by exploring
the principles and practices of teaching in preparation for an
academic career.

GRAD 5102 and 5105 from the International Teaching Assistant Program
The International Teaching Assistant (ITA) Program offers training and support to nonnative English speakers who teach courses and undertake other instructional responsibilities at the University of Minnesota. The courses, which are open to all nonnative English speaking students and post-docs, focus on the discipline-specific oral communication skills needed in teaching.
